District Profile
Nkwanta District
The Nkwanta District of Office is located within the Nkwanta South Municipal Assembly Premises. The District shares boundaries with Nkwanta North, Kadjebi and Krachi East districts. The operational areas within the district include Nkwanta, Madina, Tsorbordom, Kabre – Akura, Dadiase – Mpem, Medical Village, Mount Sinai, Kilimanjaro down and Low Cost. Traditionally, it is within the jurisdiction of the Akyode Traditional Council. The source of revenue for the district is ground rent.
Mr Harrison Bitambe Sasre is the only staff in the District who also doubles as the District Officer. He is a Principal Revenue Superintendent.
Akim Oda District
The Akim Oda District Office is located opposite the Birim Central Municipal Assembly. The District shares boundaries with Akyemansa District, Asene Akroso Manso District and Birim South district. The operational areas of the district fall within the Akyem Abuakwa and Akyem Kotoku Traditional Councils. The major operational areas include Gyadam, Otwereso, Akyem Oda and Akyem Aboabo.
The district is headed by Mr Emmanuel Obeng Ababio, a Chief Revenue Superintendent who is ably supported by a Senior Revenue Superintendent and two (2) Commission Collectors. The sources of revenue for the District are ground rent and farm rent with ground rent being the major source of revenue.
Nkawkaw District
The Nkawkaw District operates in the Kwahu West, Kwahu East and Kwahu South District Assemblies. It is located on the same premises as the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly and shares boundaries with Atiwa East, Fanteakwa North, Birim North, Kwahu Afram Plains South and Asante Akyem South districts. The operational ares of the District include Obomeng, Atibie, Mpraeso, Obo, Nkwatia, Abetifi, Pepease, Abene, Bepong, Kwahu Tafo, Nteso, Asakaraka, Aduamoah, Akwasiho, Jejeti, Ekoso, Wheewhee, Kwadukro, Asempaneye, Onyemso, Morta, Aduhema, Asikam, Asubone Rails,.Brukuwa, Abepotia, Saafi, Kwamang, Asona, Nkawkaw and Amanfrom. Traditionally, the district falls within the authority of the Kwahu Traditional Council.

Akim Swedru District
The Akim Swedru office is located within the Birim South District Assembly and covers the Birim South and Achiase districts. It shares boundaries with the Birim Central, Asenemanso-Akroso, Akyemansa, Assin North, Asin South and Asikuma Odoben Brakwa districts. The operational areas of the district include Aperade, Achiase, Duokon, Anamase, Mofram, Aduasa, Akote, Awisa, Akim Swedru, Apoli Zevor, Adenkyensu, Adakuma, Prakom, Asawase, Nyankumasu and Atutumirem. The district operates within the authority of the Akyem Abuakwa, Akyem Bosome and Akyem Kotoku Traditional Councils.
The district has only one permanent staff who also doubles as the District Officer in the person of Mr Elvis Ofosu Baah, a Principal Revenue Superintendent. He is assisted by a Commission Collector. Ground rent and farm rent are the sources of revenue for the district, the major source of revenue is farm rent.
Atimpoku District
The Atimpoku District of OASL is located on the same premises of the Asuogyaman district assembly at Atimpoku. It shares boundaries with the Lower Manya and North Tongu districts. The district operates in three (3) Traditional Councils namely; Anum, Akwamu and Boso Traditional Councils. Operational areas of the district include Mpakadan, Powmu, Anum, Senchi, New Akrade and Atimpoku.
The district has Miss Mavis Awittor, Senior Revenue Superintendent as the District Officer who also happens to be the only staff in the district. The sources of revenue in the district are ground rent and farm rents, farm rent is the major source of revenue for the area.
Anyinam District
The Anyinam district of OASL operates in two political districts; Atiwa East and Atiwa West and it is located within the Atiwa East District Assembly pemises. It shares boundaries with Kwahu West, Fanteakwa South, Kwaebibirem and Abuakwa South districts. The operational areas of the district include Ankaase, Asamang-Tamfoe, Anyinam, Enyiresi, Akem Sekyere, New Jejeti, Kwabeng, Akrofofu, Akakom, Abomosu, Bomaa, Akem Akropong, Banso and Tumfa. The district operates under the jurisdiction of the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council.

Begoro District
The Begoro District is situated within the Fanteakwa North District Assembly but operates in the Fanteakwa South district as well. It shares boundaries with Kwahu South District to the north-west, Abuakwa North Municipal to the north east, Abuakwa South Municipal to the South east and Atiwa East District to the south and Yilo Krobo Municipal and Lower Manya Krobo Municipal to the east. The operations of the office fall within the jurisdiction of the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council. Some of the major operational areas include Begoro, Koradaso, Prapramatan, Amotare, Obroahoho, Aboa, Feyiase, Osubenbom, Asare Kwao, Bommoden, Osino, Bosuso, Nsuapemso and Yayaso.
The District has Miss Joyce Ohenewaa Ofosu, a Chief Stool Lands Inspector as the District Officer. She is supported by Stool Lands Inspector in the discharge of her duties. The sources of revenue in the district are ground rent and farm rent, farm rent is the major source of revenue.
New Tafo District
The New Tafo District Office is situated in the Abuakwa North Municipal Area. This Municipality shares its borders with Abuakwa South, Fanteakwa North, New Juaben North, and Suhum Kraboa Coaltar Municipal Assemblies, all located in the Eastern Region. Positioned at the heart of New Tafo township, the District Office is conveniently situated opposite the Atiwa Rural Bank PLC and adjacent to the Birth and Death Registry. Its oversight responsibilities extend to seven Stools: Tafo, Kukurantumi, Osiem, Ettukrom, Anyinasin, Maase, and Asafo—all under the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Authority. Additionally, the Office has jurisdiction over sixteen operational communities/areas.
At the helm of the District Office is Ms. Lucy Christine Mensah, serving as the District Officer. She holds the position of an Assistant Chief Stool Lands Inspector. Supporting her is one permanent staff member, bringing the total staff strength to two.
The primary sources of revenue for the Office are ground rent and farm rent. Ground rent is the major source of revenue in the district.
Asamankese District
The Asamankese District of the Office of the Administrator of Stool Lands (OASL) is located within the West Akim Municipal. The Office is in-charge of the West Akim Municipal and Upper West Akim District in the Eastern Region.
The district office is located at Asamankese, near the Circuit Court (GPS Address: EW-0008-1792). The Asamankese District share boundaries with Ayensuano District at the East; Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipal at the South-East; Denkyembour District at North-East; Asene-Manso-Akroso District at North West; Awutu Senya West District in the Central Region at South-West: and Ga West Municipal in the Greater Accra Region at the South.
The operational areas of the Asamankese District include Asamankese, Onyinafunso, Adiembra, Brekumanso, Amarko, Wasabiapa, Aworasa, Akanteng and Osenase in the West Akim Municipal and also Asuokaw, Essaso, Oworakesiem, Asikasu, Sukrong, Mepom, Asuokaw-Odumase, Bremang, Atimatim, Krodua, Adotim, Nyanoa and Okurase in the Upper West Akim District. All the operational areas are under Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council.
The staff strength of the Office includes four (4) permanent staff and three (3) Commission Collectors. The District Officer is Mr. Joseph Boakye (Chief Stool Lands Inspector).
The two types of revenue that Office mobilises are Farm Rent from farmland users and Ground Rent from Residential, Commercial, Educational, Civic and Recreational users. The Farm Rent revenue constitutes about 60% of the total revenue the Office generate. The Ground Rent has seen some increment from 18.61% and 17.82% in 2017 and 2018 respectively to 40.03% and 36.4% in 2021 and 2022 respectively.
Tease District
The District is located at Tease in the Kwahu Afram Plains South District, it is bounded to the north by Kwahu Afram Plains North, to the south by Kwahu South, to the east by the Volta River and to the west by two districts in the Ashanti region precisely Sekyere East and Asante-Akim District.
There are two main entrances into the District by road; namely Nkawkaw-Mpraeso-Bepong-Kwahu Tafo and Adawso, from where the three-kilometer-wide Afram River is crossed to Ekye-Amanfrom by ferry. The second entrance is through Agogo in the Sekyere Afram Plains in the Ashanti Region, where one can travel by road through Dome to Maame Krobo then to Tease the District capital.
The operations of the District fall within the authority of the Kwahu Traditional Council. Some of the operational areas in the district include Tease, Maame Krobo, Ekye-Amanfrom, Asanyanso, Kwasi Fante,Agya Atta, Odumasua, Samenhyia, Dedeso, Forifori,Somsei and Asukese.
Mr. Godfred Appiah, a Stool Lands Inspector is in charge of the district as the District Officer. The sources of revenue are ground rent and farm rent of which farm rent is the major source of revenue.
New Abirem District
The District is at the centre of the township of the District capital of the Birim North district, New Abirem but has jurisdiction over the Akyemansa District as well. It shares common boundaries with Kwahu West, Birim Central and Kwaebibirem districts.
The operational areas cover are as follows; Pankese, Akoase, Aboabo, Ntronang, Otroku, Amoana-praso, Mpimtinpim, Afosu, New Abirem,Mama so, Old Abirem, Jamestown, Ofoase,Brenase, Apetey Nyame Bekyere, Afraneie, Congo, Ntoam, Asuobri, Mukyiamu, Adugyan, Otabil,Brekugyaha, Gyewani Nkwanta, Kofi Nimo, Boso Villa and Adwafo. The District is located within the jurisdiction of the Akyem Kokotu and Akyem Bosome Traditional Councils.
Mr Benjamin Bortey Borquaye, a Senior Revenue Superintendent oversees the operations of the district as the District Officer. The district mobilizes two types of revenue that is farm and ground rent. The major source of revenue is farm rent because it is predominantly a farming area.
Kibi District
The Kibi District of OASL is located near the Office of the National Health Insurance at Kibi in the Akim Abuakwa South Municipality. It shares boundaries with the Fanteakwa North and Abuakwa North districts. Kibi District has the following as its operational areas; Kyebi, Adadientem, Ahwenease, Apapam, Pano, Asikam, Akyem Adukrom, Asiakwa, Bunso, Akokoo, Apedwa, Amanfrom, Odumase, Akyem Akwadum and Afiasa all under the authority of the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council.
The District has only one permanent staff who also doubles as the District Officer in the person of Ms Helen Gogo, a Senior Revenue Superintendent. Ground rent and farm rent are the sources of revenue for the district, the major source of revenue is ground rent.
Kade District
The Kade District is located opposite the old Court within the Kwaebibirem district but operates in the Denkyembuor District as well. It shares boundaries with the Birim North, Birim Central, West Akyem Municipal and Atiwa West districts. The operations of the Office fall within the jurisdiction of the Akyem Abuakwa and Akyem Kotoku Traditional Councils. Some of the major operational areas include Otumi, Anwea, Dokyi, Asuom, Kade, Akwatia, Subi, Tweapease, Abodom, Pramkese, Boadua, Topremang, Okumaning, Kusi, Apinamang, Wenchi and Takorase.
The District has Mr Charles Kofi Menlah, an Assistant Chief Stool Lands Inspector as the District Officer. He is ably supported by two permanent staff in the discharge of his duties. The sources of revenue in the district are ground rent and farm rent, farm rent is the major source of revenue.
New Juabeng District
The District is situated in the old New Juaben North District Assembly building at Effiduase within the New Juaben North Muncipality. It shares boundaries with New Juaben South, Suhum Kraboa Coaltar and Abuakwa North districts. The operational areas of the District Oyoko, Akwadum, Jumapo and Suhyen. District Officer for New Juaben North is assisted by a Higher Revenue Inspector and a Stenographer Secretary. The source of revenue in the district is primarily ground rent.
Akroso District
The District is situated within the township of Akroso which is the district capital of the Asene Manso Akroso District. It shares boundaries with the West Akim, Agona East and Birim Central Districts. The district operates under the authority of the Akyem Kotoku Traditional Council. Some of the major operational areas include Manso, Akroso, Eshiem, Kyeremase, Mante, Bantama, Osamankwah, Debinamewohe, Kwasi-Ntum, Otaipro, Mensakwaa, Oboyambo, Bonsakro, Takorase, Ofoase, Asibirim, Ntaanom, Sedaase and Kwakukyerekwaa.
The district has Mr Gilbert Samuel Opare, a Senior Revenue Superintendent as the district officer who is assisted by a Stool lands Inspector. There are two sources of revenue in the district which are ground rent and farm rent, with farm rent being the major source of revenue.
Dambai District
The Dambai District of OASL is located within the Krachi East Municipal Assembly Premises. The District shares boundaries with Nkwanta South, Krachi West, Krachi Nchumburu and Biakoye Districts. The operational areas within the district include Dambai, Lakeside, Madina, Oldtown, Canaan, Israel, Anyabor No 1 & 2, Kparekpare and Banka. Traditionally, it is within the jurisdiction of the Krachi Traditional Council. The sources of revenue for the district are ground rent and farm rent. Ground rent is the major source of revenue in the district.
Mr Paul Kafui Ewormvor a Principal Revenue Superintendent, is the District Officer ably supported by a Revenue Inspector.
Donkorkrom District
The Donkorkrom district of OASL operates in the Kwahu Afram Plains North District. It shares boundaries with the Kwahu Afram Plain South district, the Obosom river and the Volta Lake. The operational areas of the district include the following Donkorkrom, Adeemmrra, Kwaekese, Koodidi, Kayera, Alavayo and Agotime. The district operates under the jurisdiction of the Kwahu Traditional Council.
The District has only one permanent staff and it is headed by Mr Stephen Owusu Benson, a Senior Revenue Superintendent. There are two sources of revenue in the District which are ground rent and farm rent, with farm rent being the major source of revenue.
